Suddenly, one of the girls, still alive, begged for help. Douma ended her life with a single blow, but Shinobu’s speed was unmatched. She managed to save the girl, only to realize that the girl had already been torn into pieces. Shinobu believed
she had done the right thing, as the girl would no longer suffer.

When Tanjiro asked if she was angry, she replied that she had been angry ever since her parents, sister, and students were killed. Inosuke’s Rage and Shinobu’s Sacrifice
Douma stood tall, his presence menacing. Inosuke, filled with rage, shouted,
“The demon who killed my mom and friends is right in front of me. Thank you for reminding me of my past, but now I’ll show you what hell truly is!”
Douma, with a calm demeanor, replied,
“You are mistaken. There is no such thing as heaven or hell.
These are just human-made stories. Those who try to do good always face difficulties, while those who do as they please, without distinguishing between good and evil, live happily.”
Inosuke, undeterred, declared, “Even if there is no hell, I’ll create a new one just for you, Douma!” With that, he unleashed his Beast Breathing 10th Form: Circular Fangs, spinning his sword like a fan to dispel Douma’s Freezing Clouds.

Douma couldn’t believe it. His head had just been cut off. He never imagined that such weak demon slayers could defeat him. However, Douma still didn’t accept defeat. He believed his head would regenerate just like Akaza and that he could continue the fight even after being decapitated. But as Douma’s head hit the ground, his body and head began to disintegrate. He soon realized that his time had come.
Just before his end, Douma remembered his childhood. He recalled how his mother had killed his grandfather in front of him because his grandfather was a pervert with female followers. When Douma’s mother killed his grandfather, both of them had only one thought: “Please don’t dirty my room, go outside and kill each other.” Shortly after, Douma’s mother also committed suicide. But Douma never thought about his parents for even a second.
Douma revealed that he became a demon at the age of 20 and had been one for almost 100 years. Yet, he still knew nothing about human emotions. In the afterlife, we see Shinobu holding Douma’s head. She tells him that he is finally gone and that she can now rest in peace. Douma asks if her name is Shinobu or Kanae, but Shinobu says it doesn’t matter because she has never seen a more disgusting creature than him.
Douma then realizes that the poison was so potent that he didn’t even notice it mixing with his blood. Shinobu explains that she had help from Lady Tamayo in preparing the poison. Suddenly, Douma feels something strange. His heart, which technically no longer exists, starts beating rapidly. He asks Shinobu if this is love. Douma also realizes that heaven and hell might actually exist. Shinobu tells him to go to hell quickly because she can’t tolerate him any longer.
Meanwhile, Inosuke stands where Douma disintegrated, declaring his victory. But he is so weak that he collapses. Tanjiro reassures him that he is human and that his mother must have loved him very much. Inosuke starts to remember his real mother and begins to cry.
